Calling All Facebook Graffiti Artists…

Ready to apply your artistic skills to a ‘green’ cause?

If you have a Facebook account, you can join your peers from across the globe in illustrating your thoughts on the meaning of ‘green’. Users will vote on their favorite entries, followed by a panel of judges who will choose the winners out of the top vote getters (deadline for submissions is January 22). The winner of the ‘Best Overall’ category will get a Dell 22” ultrasharp widescreen flat panel monitor.

Select images created by the community will also be featured as part of an online showcase highlighting different perspectives on the meaning of ‘green.’

Other categories include:

- Most creative
- Best landscape
- Best use of animal life
- Best use of plant life
- Most inspiring

As of 3:30 p.m. CDT today, the contest had generated 761 drawings. We’ve had 267 Facebook users sign up as fans of the contest and another 168 join the newly formed ReGeneration group. Everyone can participate, so feel free to join if you haven’t already done so.

Here are two of the latest entries….as you can see, the creativity of the ReGeneration is showing itself in true colors (literally).

  • Thanks for the challenge in both the drawing contest and our thinking. Our planet is in trouble! I only hope we can pull back on our heavy demands on Mother earth and help her heal!
I suffer from a direct a environmental illness, one that has been making the news lately. Morgellons. It is real and frightening, especially the cover up, up until now. Too many people being affected to dismiss.
Thanks god it’s now being examined. How many strange anomalies do people have to suffer before we say we have to fix what we’ve done to this planet?

  • That’s interesting. I have never heard of Morgellons before, but here is a Wikipedia article on it:

I wonder what is causing it?

  • The fate of the world lies in GOD’S hands. Humans messed up the world.

  • Actually, i think i’ve heard of it. But most likely not. Is it when you can’t go in the sunlight or something. Your like, allergic to it? If that’s the case, or even if it’s not, I’m sorry to hear that.
