Join the ReGeneration @ SXSW
Here in Austin the redbud trees are blooming and suddenly everyone is wearing flip-flops again (if they ever took them off at all). Things are busy and vibrant and rife with bursting potential.
Today marks the start of the 15th annual SXSW Interactive Festival. More than 6,300 registrants attended last year and by all accounts there will likely be more checking out what this year’s conference has to offer: web design, programming, blogging, wireless innovation, gaming, tech entrepreneurs and more. Every year, we witness a fusion of art, music and creativity that lends a voice to this new generation of artists and innovators.
The future of creative output on the Internet seems to literally land here, co-mingle, engage in conversation and then disperse all over the globe before making a trend-setting impact in a browser near you.
So, naturally, the ReGeneration team sees this as an opportunity to ignite a dialogue about what attendees are doing to protect the environment. Without giving too much away, we’ll be piloting a new project among the digerati and uber-coders, asking them to contribute to the conversation already underway here at regeneration.org.
While we’ll be revealing the details in the days to come, we’ll start by telling you this: if you’re attending SXSW Interactive be on the lookout for The ReGeneration Project camera crew around town and if you see them, feel free to stop and share your ideas. If you’re not among the almost 7,000 joining the conference then check back here in the coming days for the initial results of our project - and, like everything we do, we’ll also let you know how to get involved no matter where you are.
